Hydrotherapy is quite simply where we use water to assist in pain relief while undergoing an individual treatment plan. Hydrotherapy encompasses a varied range of approaches and therapeutic methods which can take full advantage of the physical properties of water, such as temperature and pressure, for therapeutic purposes, to stimulate blood circulation and treat the symptoms of certain conditions.
Hydrotherapy can allow for a greater range of motion or movements that may not normally be achievable, as the water helps alleviate some of your body weight, which can remove greater pressure on joints and muscles, often allowing movement with lessened pain.
Hydrotherapy can be an enjoyable and highly rewarding treatment as we continue to see excellent results. All Functional Health Hydrotherapy sessions are fully supervised by your Physiotherapist.
